Around 150 attendees took part in a variety of math games and challenges at the annual Julia Robinson Math Festival this past Saturday in the Grand Hall.
This past Monday marked Live Oak’s 100th day of school. Our youngest learners celebrated the day with some 100-themed activities, including 100th Day crowns and cereal necklaces, 100-piece Lego building challenges, and some AI-inspired photos of what first graders would look like if they were 100 years old.
Three Lightning basketball teams advanced to the SFAL playoffs, which started this past Monday. The Varsity Girls lost their semifinal matchup against Burke’s, but both the 7th Grade JV Boys and Varsity Boys won their playoff openers to move on to the league finals on Friday afternoon.
On Thursday morning we enjoyed a Lower School Community Assembly highlighting Lunar New Year. Thank you to our students who presented about their family’s traditions and celebrations around Lunar New Year.
