Record Six Lightning Futsal Teams Qualify for Playoffs
Congratulations to the six Live Oak teams that qualified for the SFAL futsal playoffs, which are happening this week. That marks a school record for futsal teams making the playoffs. We will share a full recap of the playoff results from the week, but so far of note are the Boys Varsity Green, who advanced to the semifinals, while the Varsity Girls earned an automatic berth in the semifinals on Wednesday and the JV Girls advanced directly to Friday's SFAL championship match. Below you can see how each team rounded out their regular season contests this past week.
- Varsity Boys White defeated KIPP Bayview, 5-4
- 6th Grade JV Boys defeated KIPP Bayview, 7-2
- JV Girls lost to CAIS, 5-3
- 7th Grade JV Boys defeated CAIS, 11-7
- Varsity Boys White defeated SF Friends, 15-3
- 7th Grade Varsity Boys defeated Presidio Hill School, 11-4
- Varsity Boys Green lost to Varsity Boys White, 7-6
- 6th Grade JV Boys lost to Gateway, 7-5
