Playing Soon: James and the Giant Peach

Preparations for the Live Oak fall production of James and the Giant Peach are in full swing. The cast and crew of seventh and eighth graders are getting ready for three showings. Read all about the play below. 
ABOUT THE SHOW
Get ready for a gigantic adventure bursting with music, magic, and mayhem! When young James is sent to live with his two awful aunts, he never imagines his life is about to take a wild turn—thanks to one very mysterious bag of crocodile tongues. Suddenly, a normal peach grows to the size of a house, and James finds himself rolling away inside it with a crew of larger-than-life insect friends, including a wise Grasshopper, a charming Ladybug, and a not-so-spooky Spider. Together, they set off on an epic journey across the ocean, soaring high above the waves, facing hungry sharks, and discovering the power of friendship, courage, and imagination. Packed with catchy songs, clever comedy, and plenty of heart, James and the Giant Peach is a peachy-perfect show for the whole family that proves—even the smallest person can dream the biggest dreams!

$5 Each

Ticket sales will open on Wednesday, 11/5 from 8-8:30 am in front of the Grand Hall. Any remaining tickets will be sold after school from 3-3:30 pm on Wednesday and Friday. 
CASH OR CHECK ONLY. (Maximum purchase is 8 tickets per person.)

Performances usually sell out, so it’s important to be in line early if you need a specific show date/time. Parents can also send students to get in line with an envelope that includes payment and 1st & 2nd show choice options, or ask another parent to stand in line for them.

Families of the cast and crew are allowed a limited pre-sale amount, and they tend to snatch up the opening and closing performances. If your schedule allows, you should consider attending the Saturday 4 pm show.

If you hear we are sold out, it’s worth showing up 30 minutes before the show and getting on the waitlist. We’re almost always able to squeeze in a few more.
