Curriculum Highlights: Sixth Grade Science–From Hilltop to Bay
By: Dreas Ratteray, Middle School Science Teacher
The Curriculum Highlights series shines a light on the important and dynamic skill building that is happening in Live Oak classrooms every day. These highlights are prepared by Live Oak faculty and offer a glimpse into a notable activity, project, or unit that prepares students for interdisciplinary learning and agency beyond the classroom. This week we highlight how sixth graders participated in San Francisco’s Adopt-a-Drain Program, learning about the important dynamics of an urban watershed and how small actions can contribute to positive outcomes.
